This small alligator skull has been given a new life that it could never have dreamed of, among antique china and delicate pottery. Six brass rods hold its jaws open, so you can view each of its sharp, gold-leafed teeth.
This skull was purchased as a broken piece - it likely originally came from a farmed animal.
The entire skull measures just over 7 inches long and about 3.5 inches wide. The alligator itself is estimated to have been just about 4 feet long, a juvenile of reproductive age.
It has been sealed with a protective clear coat, but is not suitable for outdoor display or in humid environments (such as terrariums).
