“I felt nothing standing there that I would not feel in any cemetery, quiet and curious and mortal.” -
This tiny scene depicts a lone tombstone, balanced on the precipice of a chunk of raw black tourmaline. It has been electroformed in 100% copper to create a solid piece.
In the stone age, when humans were still nomadic in nature, the dead would be buried and a great stone or boulder rolled atop the grave. These stones were called gravestones and their purpose was to prevent the deceased from rising after death, a fear that still exists in modern society.
Black tourmaline comes from molten rock and is associated with protection, cleansing, and strength.
This piece comes on a thin 18-inch antiqued copper chain. If you would prefer a different length of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
All electroformed jewelry includes a copper care sheet as well as a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your piece looking its finest.
