“I've always thought fairies are like mushrooms. You trip over them when you're not thinking about them, but they're hard to spot when you're searching for them." --Jo Walton
This beautiful mariposite stone has been electroformed in 100% copper with three tiny mushrooms growing up its side.
Mariposite formed when the rock serpentinite, which was derived from the Earth's mantle, became altered under pressure by mineral-laden hot (650°F) water. The meaning of their name relates to the place where they were first discovered in Mariposa County in California, and Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish. It is known as a stone that reduces stress and helps us be calm and balanced.
This piece measures about 1x1 inches and comes on an 18-inch antiqued copper chain. If you would prefer a different length of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
All electroformed jewelry includes a copper care sheet as well as a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your piece looking its finest.
