This rather large beaver skull has been covered in black and white mushroom prints, reminiscent of his past life in the forest. Normally a beavers front teeth are bright orange - these have been coated in a matte black to add a sharp bit of contrast to the piece.
His skull was found among others in a hunter dump pile, then carefully cleaned and whitened. The jaws are permanently glued in place.
The entire skull measures about 5.5 inches long x 4.5 inches wide x 4 inches tall. It has been coated in a protective clear coat but is not suitable for outdoor display.
