This real fossilized megalodon tooth has been electroformed in copper and repaired using the kintsugi technique. The missing pieces of the tooth have been sculpted with shiny copper, as well as a huge chunk of spirit amethyst.
The megalodon was a giant shark that went extinct about 3.6 million years ago. There are different theories about estimating the shark's exact size based on its teeth, but according to Shimada's crown height equation we can estimate this specific shark to have reached about 19 feet in length.
The pendant itself measures about 2.5 inches long and comes on a thick 20-inch antiqued copper chain. If you prefer a different length (or style) of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
All copper jewelry also includes a copper care sheet as well as a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your piece looking its finest.
