A cremation ID tag is a small metal disc that is attached to the cremated remains of a loved one. When a body first arrives at the cremation facility, they are provided with a unique tag and identification number that does not leave the body throughout the entire process. After cremation the tag remains and accompanies the cremains when they are sent home.
These authentic tags come from the infamous Bellevue-Cedar Hill Cemetery. The owners committed all sorts of crimes, including stealing gold teeth from bodies and burying at least 73 bodies in the wrong places. The owners lost their license in 2001 and it has since been reopened with new ownership and a new name.
Each tag comes on your choice of 24-inch stainless steel link or ball chain. If you would prefer a different length of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
