Bald-Faced Hornet

Bald-faced hornets are highly protective of their nests and can squirt venom from their stingers as a defense mechanism, making them one of the few insects capable of spraying venom!

This wasp was collected after its natural death, never killed. It has been electroformed in 100% copper with a real paper wasp nest and a bright yellow heated amethyst (often called citrine) crystal. 

This piece measures about 2 inches in length and comes on a 20-inch antiqued copper chain with a 2-inch extender. If you would prefer a different length of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
