Delft Caiman

Tiny but mighty! Even as a baby, crocodiles are dangerous creatures and represent the inherent danger found in nature - at the same time, delicate porcelain-inspired designs indicate that while nature can indeed be brutal, it is also beautiful and fragile.

This piece is made using a real antique taxidermy caiman crocodile, adorned with a delicate blue floral design reminiscent of Delft porcelain. Its entire body measures just over 8.5 inches in length and about 7 inches wide. The teeth are coated with gold leaf.

It has been coated in a protective clear coat, but is not suitable for outdoor display or in animal enclosures.
