Fossilized Fern
Fossilized Fern
"Maidenhair fern in flint,
An ancient accident
Shows me time's imprint"
-John Ormond
A modern, pressed fern and a fern fossil - two of the same plant, separated by time, reunited by copper.
The fern is said to represent eternal youth, as well as new beginnings, family, and future generations. This fossilized fern is 100% authentic and beautifully preserved. Ferns are one of the oldest groups of plants on Earth, with a fossil record dating back about 390 million years. These fossils were unearthed in the southern United States and can be found all over the world.
