This piece is inspired by blue and white pottery, known by different names from many different countries, including Delft or Delftware, transferware (French), or pinyin (Chinese).
The partial goat skull has been attached to a wooden shield plaque, with gold leafed horns to complete its delicate look.
The entire piece measures about 12 inches long, and the plaque itself measures about 9x7 inches, with a small hanger on the back. It has been covered in a protective clear coat but is not suitable for outdoor display.
