Honey Bee

In addition to producing honey, beeswax, and royal jelly, honey bees are also talented air conditioners! They regulate the temperature inside their hives by flapping their wings to circulate air and releasing water droplets to cool down the colony during hot weather.

This piece was created using a preserved female worker bee, collected and donated by a local beekeeper after its natural death - never bought or killed for the purpose of creating art. It has been electroformed in 100% copper with a real paper wasp nest and a bright yellow heated amethyst (often called citrine) crystal. 

This piece measures about 1.5 inches in length and comes on a 24-inch antiqued copper chain. If you would prefer a different length of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
