Whip scorpions are a harmless, non-venomous member of the arachnid family. They avoid light and prefer to dig burrows, feeding on scorpions, millipedes, and other insects.
This particular specimen has been enhanced to iridescence :)
This unique specimen has been carefully mounted in a black shadowbox with decorative black accents, to reflect its nocturnal nature. The shadow box itself measures just under 6x8 inches - the glass opening measures about 4.5x6.5 inches.
The back of this piece has an opening for easy hanging, but is also perfectly able to stand on its own.
