This real fossilized mako shark tooth has been electroformed in copper and repaired using the kintsugi technique. The missing pieces of the tooth have been sculpted with copper, as well as a real barnacle, herkimer diamond, and a large spirit amethyst point.
This is a beautiful fossil broad-toothed mako tooth, collected on the North Carolina coast. Its age is estimated to be in the range of 2.52 to 15 million years old. The broad-toothed mako is thought to be the direct ancestor of today's great white shark.
The shark tooth itself measures about 2.25 inches long with the entire pendant length measuring about 2.75 inches. This piece comes on a thick 18-inch antiqued copper chain. If you prefer a different chain length or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
All copper jewelry also includes a copper care sheet as well as a jewelry polishing cloth to keep your piece looking its finest.
