Black Roe Deer Skull
Black Roe Deer Skull
This piece is inspired by grief. The heart and eye symbolize how grief isn’t just a feeling—it’s an embodied experience that can weigh heavily on the heart, with the eye reflecting the pain, loss, and the personal journey of mourning.
The roe deer, also known as a roebuck, is native to the UK and smaller than our average American whitetail. This skull was salvaged from a group of antique skulls and antlers imported from the UK.
The entire skull measures about 12 inches in length. It has been sealed with a protective clear coat but is not suited for outdoor display.
There is a hanger on the back for wall display, but can also be propped up on a shelf if you prefer.
