Rove Beetle Heart Vial

The rove beetle is also known as the Devil's Coach Horse Beetle - this tiny wanderer got its name from the myth that it drove the devil's carriage. In the middle ages it was said that when it pointed it's body in your direction, it was cursing you! 

This beetle was collected after its natural death and has been carefully preserved as a wet specimen, then sealed and electroplated in 100% copper. Two teardrop-shaped black onyx gemstones are secured at the top and bottom.

Black Onyx is known as a strong protector. Its deep black color stands for strength, never giving up, and facing challenges. 

This piece measures just over 2 inches in length and comes on a 24-inch antiqued copper chain. If you would prefer a different length of chain or leather cord, please include a note at checkout.
